Tools of the Trade
Prep-work prior to class:
- Wind at least six (6) bobbins
- Quilt main fabric, foam batting, and lining together
- Use cutting layout guide to cut fabrics (pg. 17 & 18). Will discuss options in pre-class on Oct. 24th
- Copy label page for either small or large size (pg. 19 or 20)
- Copy Template A and B on pg. 16
- Cut and label all pieces as directed on cutting layout and label with labels provided (labels on page 19 and 20 of pattern)
- Prepare your bias binding on pg. 3 (I will show you a helpful tip during pre-class)
What you will need to make this bag:
- Supplies listed on pattern
- Sewing Tools needed:
- Tools of the Trade Pattern
- Stiletto
- Wonder clips
- Denim needles (100/16)
- Removable fabric markers/chalk pens
- Glue stick
- Zipper foot (recommended)
- Walking Foot (recommended for when you are quilting your layers)
- Sewing machine, cutting mat, rotary cutter, rulers, pins, etc.

| Skill Details: | You will be working with mesh, elastic, zippers, magnets, and use various techniques. This is a very intricate pattern. NOT for beginner sewists. |
| Requirements: | Pre-class recommended. Quilt main fabric, foam batting, and lining fabric together prior to class. Cut and label all pieces using the tags included in pattern. |
