T-shirt Quilt - Step 1: Preparation Process

What you will need for the Preparation Process:

• Large Scissors
• 10 yards Fusible Woven stabilizer (works for about 20 adult shirts)-100% cotton, high quality, Pellon or Staple brand (both use steam) 
• Iron (bring just in case)
• Ironing surface
• T-shirts
• 1 Teflon pressing mat (to protect the iron from the plastic that’s on the t-shirt)
• 2 Cloth pressing cloths (used for steaming stabilizer onto shirt and the other protects the ironing surface); muslin will work just fine
• Squaring ruler is a must for finding the center of the logos
• Optional: Omnigrid 15” square ruler or Taylor Smith t-shirt ruler for 10”, 12” or 15” cuts; used for logos that are less than 15”
